It focuses on studying the load-bearing capacity, lifespan, and reliability of structures across different scales under complex environments and loading conditions. With the aim of establishing and optimizing safety evaluation standards and regulations throughout the entire lifecycle of products, it serves a wide range of engineering fields, including aviation, aerospace, maritime, energy, chemical engineering, metallurgy, environmental engineering, civil engineering, and microelectronics manufacturing.

中国结构完整性联盟的历史可追溯到2002年,最初的发起单位是几所长期从事结构完整性特别是压力容器安全技术合作研究的高校和科研院所。2003年,首次在上海召开国际断裂力学(Fracture Mechanics,FM)学术研讨会,会上决定此类会议每年召开一次,由各成员单位轮流承办,形成FM-系列国际学术会议,为中国结构完整性联盟的形成奠定了良好基础。
The history of the China Structural Integrity Consortium dates back to 2002, when it was initially founded by several universities and research institutes that had long been engaged in collaborative research on structural integrity, particularly in pressure vessel safety technology. In 2003, the first international symposium on Fracture Mechanics (FM) was held in Shanghai, during which it was decided that such conferences would be held annually, hosted in turn by each member institution. This led to the establishment of the FM series of international academic conferences, laying a solid foundation for the formation of the China Structural Integrity Consortium.
2010年,FM系列会议拓展为国际结构完整性学术研讨会(International Symposium on Structural Integrity, ISSI),ISSI-2010以"Structural integrity and materials ageing in extreme conditions"为主题再次在上海举办,ISSI-系列会议发展成为联盟的年会。随后,ISSI-2011和ISSI-2012分别在安徽合肥和山东济南举办,由合肥通用机械研究院和山东大学承办。
In 2010, the FM conference series was expanded into the International Symposium on Structural Integrity (ISSI). ISSI-2010, themed "Structural integrity and materials ageing in extreme conditions," was once again held in Shanghai, establishing the ISSI series as the consortium's annual conference. Subsequently, ISSI-2011 and ISSI-2012 took place in Hefei, Anhui, and Jinan, Shandong, respectively, hosted by the Hefei General Machinery Research Institute and Shandong University.
2012年11月,为全面贯彻国家中长期科学与技术发展规划纲要精神,加强重大产品与设施的可靠性与寿命预测领域的协同创新,经中国机械工程学会材料分会、压力容器分会和失效分析分会充分讨论与协商,决定联合发起“中国结构完整性联盟”(China Structural Integrity Consortium, CSIC),标志着联盟的诞生。联盟首批成员由华东理工大学、合肥通用机械研究院、中国特种设备检测研究院、浙江大学、北京航空航天大学、南京工业大学、浙江工业大学、郑州大学、西南交通大学、山东大学、长沙理工大学等10余所高校和研究院所共同组成。目前,联盟共有17家成员单位。
In November 2012, to fully implement the spirit of the National Medium- and Long-Term Science and Technology Development Plan and strengthen collaborative innovation in the fields of reliability and lifespan prediction for major products and facilities, the Materials Institution, Pressure Vessel Institution, and Failure Analysis Institution of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, after thorough discussion and consultation, jointly decided to initiate the establishment of the "China Structural Integrity Consortium" (CSIC), marking the official birth of the consortium. The first batch of members included over ten universities and research institutes such as East China University of Science and Technology, Hefei General Machinery Research Institute, China Special Equipment Inspection & Research Institute, Zhejiang University, Beihang University, Nanjing Tech University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhengzhou University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Shandong University, and Changsha University of Science & Technology. Currently, the Consortium comprises 17 member entities.
